Three days in Northern Artsakh (Karabakh)

Itinerary

Day 1

  • Setting off from Yerevan Setting off from Yerevan to Dadivank Monastery complex through Vardenis – Sodk – Karvachar route
  • Setting off to Jermajur spring* located in Tartar river canyon, Karvachar region

    * Mets («Big») Jermajur — warm mineral spring similar by its features to Jermuk (Armenia) and Karlov Var (Czech Republic) springs — located in the ravine of the river Tartar.

  • Lunch (barbeque variety, potatoes baked in ashes, home-made vodka, etc.) at an open area near the Jermajur
  • Leisure time and swimming in mineral waters
  • Dinner (barbeque variety, potatoes baked in ashes, home-made vodka, etc.) at an open area near the Jermajur
  • Overnight stay at Jermajur area in comfortable tents and sleeping bags provided by the travel agency (accommodation in a village boarding house can be arranged per client’s request)

Day 2

  • Breakfast
  • Setting off to Jraberd medieval citadel

    * Jraberd («Water fortress») is an Armenian medieval fortress in Martakert region, Artsakh. The fortress is situated on the rock at the confluence of the river Tartar and its tributary Trkhi. The river Trkhi is one of the cleanest rivers in Europe which flows through the beautiful gorge, mountains and forests.

  • Trip to Yerits Mankants Monastery (17th century)

    * Yerits Mankants The three-nave vaulted basilica church was built of clearly-trimmed and roughly processed whitish stone. The dome of the temple rises over four remarkable, square, cruciform pillars and the arches connecting them. The square beam of the door is completely lithographed carving-texture. The monastery is a striking example of late medieval architecture of Artsakh.

  • Lunch at monastery area
  • Sightseeing at Yerits Mankants Monastery
  • Dinner
  • Overnight stay at the Yerits Mankants Monastery area in comfortable tents and sleeping bags provided by the travel agency (accommodation in a village house can be arranged to meet your wishes)

Day 3

  • Breakfast
  • Setting off to Jermajur
  • Swimming in mineral waters pool
  • Lunch at an open air area
  • Returning to Yerevan through Karvachar-Sodk route

Notes: “Aspar Wild Tour’’ provides everything needed for the trip, including drinking water, hot drinks, soft drinks, fruits — fresh and dried. Outdoor dinner and/or supper can be arranged.
