Hidden Treasures of Armenia II, 3 days

A three day trip to Central Armenia and Artsakh (Karabakh)

Aspar Tour provides everything needed for the trip, including cold and hot drinks — coffee, tea, as well as fresh and dried fruits and other snacks. Itinerary

Day 1

  • Setting off from Yerevan to Spitakavor (Whitish) Monastery (13th century) in Vayots Dzor region through Selim Pass
  • Visiting Armenian statesman and political thinker Garegin Nzhdeh’s tomb (1886–1955)
  • Sightseeing at Smbataberd fortress area
  • Sightseeing at Selim caravansary*

    *The Selim Caravansary was built along the Selim Pass in 1332 by for accommodating travelers and their animals crossing the Selim (Sulema) Mountains. It is the best preserved caravansary in the country.

  • A little rest and lunch at Smbataberd Fortress area (meat and vegetable barbeque, etc.)
  • Setting off to mountainous Lake Sevan (1905 meters above sea level) through Martuni-Vardenis route
  • An overnight stay on the lake shore in comfortable tents and sleeping bags provided by the travel agency

Day 2

  • Breakfast

  • Setting off to Jermajur (Warm Water) in Karvachar region, Artsak*

    * Jermajur — warm mineral spring on Tutkhun river bank. Its water is similar by its features to Jermuk (Armenia) and Karlov Var (Czech Republic) springs and is known for its healing features.

  • A little rest and swimming in mineral waters pool
  • Lunch in an open air area
  • Setting off to Dadivank Monastery complex (9th–13th centuries)
  • Sightseeing at Vank village area
  • Dinner on the bank of river Khachen
  • Setting off to Gandzasar Monastery
  • Overnight stay in one of the Vank village hotels

Day 3

All passenger seats in our vehicles are covered by insurance.
