Itinerary

Day 1

Noravank Monastery
  • Trip to Khor Virap*

    * Khor Virap — a monastery built over the underground chamber where Grigor Lusavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator), who converted Armenia from paganism to Christianity, was imprisoned for 13 years.

  • Visiting Areni church (14h century)
  • Sightseeing in Noravank Monastery (13th century)
  • Setting off to Jermuk city with overnight stay

Day 2

  • Setting off to Gndevank Monastery (10th century)
  • Trip to Sisian city, sightseeing in Shakeh waterfall, Vorotan River
  • Visiting Tatev Monastery (9th century)
  • Returning to Yerevan
