Northern Artsakh: Martakert Region, Jraberd Fortress, Yerits Mankants Monastery, Big Jermajur Hot Springs, Gandzasar Monastery, Ruins of the Ancient City of Tigranakert, 2 days

Itinerary

Day 1

Martakert Scenery: River Tartar
  • Setting off from Shushi to the medieval Jraberd citadel in Martakert region, situated on the bank of the river Tartar
  • Sightseeing at Jraberd Citadel
  • Visiting Yeritsmankants monastery (17th century)
  • Sightseeing at Yerits Mankants Monastery
  • Overnight stay: in comfortable tents and sleeping bags near the monastery.

Day 2

  • Visiting Big Jermajur — warm mineral spring similar by its features to Jermuk (Armenia) and Karlov Var (Czech Republic) springs — located in the ravine of the river Tartar.
  • Setting off to the Gandzasar Monastery complex.
  • Proceeding to the ruins of Tigranakert.
  • Returning to Shushi.

Notes: “Aspar Tour’’ provides everything needed for the trip, including drinking water, hot drinks, soft drinks, fruits — fresh and dried. Outdoor dinner and/or supper can be arranged. Specially enhanced offroaders are used for transportation. All the vehicles carry all the equipment necessary for a comfortable trip, including comfortable tents, sleeping bags and portable showers for camping. “Aspar Tour’s’’ professional drivers will accompany you during the whole tour.
